![]() ![]() The best thing to do when playing Huntress is to stay as mobile as possible. ![]() She has very low armor so one or two heavy hits from a boss or a strong opponent will drop her health dramatically. Huntress is all about movement, evasion, and speed. Sticky Bombs are, obviously, as good on her as anyone else. Predatory Instincts' are great since Arrow Rain lets you rake in free and constant critical hits, and similarly Berserker's Pauldron is good since the glaive is very likely to kill multiple enemies in one throw. Even after looping, once you have a few movement upgrades, firepower upgrades become more critical again. When given the choice, firepower upgrades trump movement upgrades early on since the Huntress already has a pretty easy time dodging things. The quick Arrow Rain->Glaive->Blink-down-to-safety succession is really effective throughout the game not just against bosses, but against large groups of enemies as well.Īlways, always be sprinting. Yeah, Huntress actually suffers badly against single targets, but has an easy time taking out groups with her secondary and special.Ī good strategy against bosses is to use arrow rain, and especially if there are two bosses or there's a mook next to the boss, throw a glaive (or two if you have a backup magazine) and then use blink to instantly get back on the ground where dodging attacks is easier, or behind cover. If you're feeling risky, you could consider Shaped Glass, but keep in mind that Huntress is particularly fragile. The usual game breakers (Sticky, Lens, most Legendary, Equipment builds) also apply. Prioritize Soldier Syringe for better firing speeds, Magazines/Will-'o/Ukulele to boost your crowd control, speed items (Hoof, Drink, Quail, Hopoo) and Tougher Times to avoid getting hit, Infusion to boost her pitiful health, Bandolier/Brainstalks/Alien Head to fire off Arrow Rain more often, and Rose Buckler to take advantage of your class ability. ![]() Glaive's throw hover can be cancelled if you use Arrow Rain or Blink, but make sure to practice the timing, otherwise you might end up wasting a Glaive charge. Chain Arrow Rain with Blink and Glaive for maximum jumping heights. Keep sprinting, as she is the only class that can fire her primary (Strafe) while sprinting.Īrrow Rain will help you get out of situations in a pinch, but to mitigate damage, ensure you have a Blink or Glaive ready to help slow the descent. Her low health makes it a priority to play in a way to not get hit, be it through constant movement, speed, or using allies to take the brunt of the attacks. Huntress excels in single targets, but is a bit weak when it comes to crowds. ![]()
